The Wool Bag
We’ve always had a soft spot for natural fibres and quality knitwear, so welcoming The Wool Bag into our gifting and Artisans collection? Consider that one well and truly in the bag.

What began as a conversation in 2021 became something pretty special in 2024, crafted with a shared love of good design, better intentions, and doing things the right way. Nadia lives and works at Royalburn Station, one of New Zealand’s oldest farms, with a vision of creating the most beautiful farm in the world that goes deeper than aesthetics.
Polly grew up in the world of wool, with her parents founding Exquisite Wool Traders, a family business where craftsmanship (and wool) runs in the family. For generations, they’ve been supplying New Zealand wool to some of the world’s top mills, with quality and care woven into everything they do. Partnering with Nadia, who shares their commitment to sustainability and thoughtful living, was a natural next step.

New Zealand is home to some of the world’s best wool. And yet, much of it goes unused. As a by-product of necessary shearing, essential for the health and comfort of sheep, the fibre is often left to waste. But wool is anything but wasteful. It’s naturally water-repellent, fire-resistant, breathable, and antimicrobial (just to name a few), a quiet overachiever in every touch of the fibre.
Both renewable and biodegradable, wool can return to the earth, nourishing the very soil it came from. It’s durable, versatile, and requires less washing than synthetic fibres, helping reduce water usage over time. With a long list of qualities and a gentle environmental footprint, wool is an everyday material with an even greater potential. It's no wonder Nadia and Polly are such champions of the fibre. Us too.

The Wool Bag is crafted in a Woolmark-certified mill in India, a guarantee of both the purity and performance of the wool, alongside ethical sourcing practices. As well as OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning every fibre is free from harmful substances. It’s a bag that reflects the same high standards for quality, care, and durability that we hold ourselves to.
From New Zealand fields to your everyday: made for morning markets, mid-week errands, coffee catch-ups, and all the little things in between. The Wool Bag is more than a seasonal accessory, it’s part of a bigger story. One that’s rooted in slowing down, choosing well, and investing in natural materials that are made to love now and carry forever.
Style Guide
Morning markets
For spray-free lemons, leeks, and a pastry (or two), The Wool Bag handles it all. Made for slow strolls and early coffee stops.
Style it with: your hardest-working denim (hello everyone’s favourite Nevada Wide Jeans), a soft knit (the cosier, the better), and the Elementary Chore Jacket.
Daily dash
Forget the 30-cent paper bag, The Wool Bag has your weekly shop in the bag (quite literally), and still leaves room for the things that end up in there that aren’t on the list.
Style it with: the Elementary Merino Wide Leg Jogger and matching Merino Henley Sweater.
For your 9-5
Big enough for your laptop, lunch and that extra layer (and small enough to still look cute), The Wool Bag makes light work of your Monday to Friday. It’s structured enough to feel polished with just the space for carrying throughout your day.
Style it with: The Merino Silk Layering Top, a Tailored Blazer and The Ultimate Wide Leg Pant.
